More questions than answers

Something that has always intrigued me is when did we start placing less importance on the environment? At what point did we stop caring if a forest ceased to exist or if our children will never eat some of the local fruits that we did or never see some of the plants and animals that we used to see as children?

Getting started

I am a member of the local NGO Environment TOBAGO and write a weekly column on their behalf which is published every week in the Tobago News newspaper. I really got into popular writing focusing on environmental issues and topics to raise awareness of the public about our environment particularly the wealth of biodiversity of flora and fauna and diversity of habitats it contains. Really how many of us have hiked in forests in our country or visited a waterfall? Have you ever seen the Pitch Lake in La Brea or the mud volcanoes in Piparo?
